Warnings:
Deryn is a girl disguised as a guy because during World War I, girls couldn't serve in the Royal Air Service. To everyone, she will be Dylan unless she comes around to trusting your character. Of course, characters can find out one way or another, or become suspicious. Do remember though: she's only fifteen. Her cracking voice can be mistaken as puberty.

As for tagging - Deryn refers to herself as... well, female even with her disguise on. In her responses, I'll be using female terms in other words. Male terms are appropriate for tags back unless your character knows her gender.

Quick question! Lapis and Lor are both mothers from a world with a relatively high understanding of physiology, high tolerance for nudity, and a lot of kids. They could probably figure out Deryn's gender pretty quickly...if that's alright. What would you prefer? (Right now I'm assuming they think Deryn is trans, and so will refer to Dylan as male, even if they suspect his body is otherwise.)

Depends really how they go about this... Like, simple visual cues or something else? She's pretty good at being a boy (unless she's around Alek. Things become pear-shaped), she will never be around anyone while she's naked, and I don't have an answer for that last part.

I was thinking more speech clues, and they know enough about history to make the leap between something being just a bit off to 'girls couldn't be in the military then, could they?' But perhaps they wouldn't actually realize it...until they do something foolish like jump him in the hall. [They are way to grabby for their own good and have issues with normal 'boundaries'] And even then, they'll keep it between themselves. But! If you want to keep it a secret for longer, and have them completely oblivious (beyond the equal-opportunity teasing) that's totally cool as well!

I think the jump thing is more likely since she does the whole lower voice gimmick too. Gah! People and touching her! Hand shakes only! Well, eventually people will find out I reckon, but the jumping thing sounds the most likely unless try rile her enough to her voice becoming screechy.
